Haiti rebuilding progress

It has now been two years since a devastating earthquake destroyed huge swathes of Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince, and the rebuilding process is still ongoing. We're really pleased to report that we-ve completed repairs on most of the schools that we pledged to support, and most recently have finished putting a new roof on the Community of Christ School in DeMichel, an impoverished suburb of Port'au'Prince.
Christlene, aged 10, has been going to the Community of Christ School for the last two years. She told us how last year she hated going to school on rainy days as they all had to gather in a small corner of the school which was the only place where the roof did not leak. Christlene has been really looking forward to returning to school this year with a brand new roof, especially as she has an important exam later this year. She has great faith that she will pass thanks to good preparation from her teachers so that she can continue to follow her dream to become a nurse one day.
