We can't thank you enough for all you have done in the last year to support some of the world's most vulnerable children, but rather than gush at you we'd prefer to let the children speak for themselves.
Some of the rescued street children from Kisumu, Kenya, wrote this poem to thank you for the amazing difference you've made in their lives.
Our brothers and sisters, what a wonderful day,
Today we gather to thank you for your generosity,
You thought of the vulnerable children and opted to help;
Thanks for the revival of the lunch programme for us,
We look forward for your continued support and assistance.
You denied yourselves comfort to see that we benefit;
Our brothers and sisters have been reintegrated back to their families.
You responded loudly from the United Kingdom and now we are fed, clothed, housed.
We look forward for your continued support and assistance.
Your love for us made you to pity us,
You were always close to us and gave us hope by offering us
The opportunity for basic education in the centre,
We look forward to your continued support and assistance.
Brothers and sisters, we bow to thank God,
You've been wonderful to us.
May God bless you and the work of your hands.
Thank you.
