Patongo Youth Football Team

Corporate partnerships play an integral part in supporting our work rescuing and rehabilitating children around the world. We are immensely grateful to the support of our current corporate partners.

Here's a little snapshot of some of our corporate supporters:

Apex Masonry

Apex Masonry have jump started our appeal to build a youth centre for former child soldiers in northern Uganda by making a generous donation of £1000. They have also committed to sponsoring the youth football team, many of whom are also former child soldiers, and provide them with their own football kit. Thus far, the team's incredible successes and trophies have been won without any semblance of a football kit and with half the team playing barefoot as they have no shoes.

Thanks to the support of Apex Masonry, these boys now have the recognition and pride to compete nationally. As one boy said:

"Now I play football and I know I can succeed. I have hope again."

We are so grateful to Apex Masonry, whose contribution is making a real difference to young lives.

Virgin Atlantic   Virgin Atlantic

Virgin Atlantic have previously partnered with us in their on-board Change for Charity Appeal to raise funds for children and families affected by Cyclone Nargis in Burma. Thanks to the generosity of Virgin Atlantic and their passengers, we were able to quickly raise £29,000 to provide emergency relief for survivors of the horrific cyclone. This went towards buying boats to reach those marooned by the devastation and aid packages including water purification kits, temporary shelter tents and medicines as well as the essential food rations.

This June, Virgin Atlantic once again held a Change for Charity Appeal with us, this time to rescue sick and abandoned children in China. Many children are abandoned in China each year, especially those who have a disability or an illness. Some children may be terminally ill and some may have easily correctable disabilities, such as a club foot. The new Luoyang Home will care for both, giving what comfort they can to the terminally ill and operating on those with an easily correctible disability, so greatly increasing their chances of being adopted into a loving family. Many thanks to Virgin Atlantic for raising £57,000 to help rescue these abandoned children.

Think Money   Think Money

Previously, Think Money have raised a staggering total of £53,529 for our project to build houses in Rwanda for child headed households through payroll giving and fundraising events. They have also generously provided 20 laptops for our learning centre in Rwanda and provided university scholarships for two promising students.

This year, Think Money are raising money for our new project in the north of Rwanda. Here we shall be providing vocational training for over 80 child headed households to furnish them with the business skills they need to create new lives for themselves. We shall also be providing food sources for themselves and their families and train community mentors to provide counselling to the young people.
