The Power of PrayerToday many Christians are unaware of the realities of injustice and persecution around the world. Prayer can be a creative and dynamic ingredient to challenging injustice and challenging our own attitudes. Every other month we publish a prayer diary which helps guide supporters in their prayers for the upcoming months. Church representatives are incredibly valuable to us as they provide a direct link between their church and Jubilee Action. As a church representative you would be a key supporter of our work and would be responsible for informing your church of the work that we do and any current campaigns we are running. We would ask you to support us in prayer and, if possible, assist us in our fundraising efforts. If you feel that you would like to take up the challenge of helping us reach out to more people, and would like to be the first to know about our campaigns and activities call us now. Make us your Church Charity of the YearIf you feel that your church would really like to support us on an ongoing basis, why not make Jubilee Action your church charity of the year?! Long-term relationships are so important to us, and we have found that our supporters also really benefit from a more personal relationship with us and our projects. If this is something your church would be interested in then please do let us know. Olive's StoryOlive has supported Jubilee Action since it was founded. She made a life changing trip to India in the late 80s, where she saw many street children roaming the railways and wandering along main roads. Incensed by the poverty and desperation, she vowed to do something about it. Hearing of Jubilee Action, Olive began to campaign on our behalf and also to encourage people in her church to give her their small change so that she could pass it on to Jubilee Action. In Olive's church - Crofton Park Baptist Church - Jubilee Action's children are widely known as Olive's children. Many members of the congregation have faithfully donated since the early 90s. Olive has shown amazing commitment. We are so grateful for all she has done and nominated her our joint 2008 charity champion.
